” It has been my pleasure to know Rochelle Richardson since the spring of 2016. We met through our mutual association with the Guelph Little Theatre (GLT). I had submitted a script that was accepted as part of GLT’s summer one act play festival, The Ward One Acts. Rochelle had put her name forward to direct one of the shows and chose my script, ‘The Four Seasons Summit’, from the available options.
I was very pleased with her treatment of my text. Her casting choices were excellent – especially considering that the GLT one acts often brings in actors with little or no acting experience. Between Rochelle and the actor, their development of the characters brought out nuances in the script that I had not seen as I was writing it.
The production carried some additional challenges as the festival was stages as theatre in the round while the script is one better suited to a traditional stage. Rochelle did a good job suiting the blocking to the stage and the final scene from the play remains a very strong image in my mind.
As she continues to mature, I am confident that she will excel in whatever program she puts her hand to.” – Kenneth Cameron, Playwright, The Four Season Summit
